Megan Peyton is a senior majoring in Photojournalism with a concentration in Social Entrepreneurship and Non-profits. When she isn’t in the studio taking photos, Megan spends time with her little brother through Big Brothers Big Sisters and volunteers at a local high school as a teacher’s assistant. She enjoys cooking, camping, and spending time with friends. Megan hopes to become a community organizer in the Peace Corps upon graduation.

Rachel Levi is a junior Broadcast Journalism major from Westport, Connecticut. Her passions lie in both travel and international reporting. She focuses her work on effectively communicating foreign conflicts with the hope that she will one day prompt change. Her extensive travel to over 30 countries has inspired her to pursue a career in investigative reporting. Rachel participated in a habitat for humanity program throughout her four years of high school called Builders Beyond Borders. This organization played a major role in developing her desire to see the world and to help others.

Georgia mentors and tutors high school students in Austin and enjoys writing, running and cooking in her free time. She loves meeting new people and has a passion for traveling. Georgia hopes to go to graduate school to study psychology.

John Fitch

John Fitch is a junior Radio-Televison-Film major focusing on documentary filmmaking. Outside of a digital media lab, John is busy with playing live music and dedicating his efforts to the male service organizations, Texas Iron Spikes and Texas Cowboys. He takes pleasure in cooking, hunting and fishing, and meeting interesting people. John aspires to become a documentary director and give media training programs to the less fortunate.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Juan Elizondo is a multimedia journalist studying Radio-Television-Film with a focus in documentary work. Juan’s passion is sharing and conserving history through film, photo, print and online media for generations to come. Juan is also the Associate Multimedia Editor for the university’s student newspaper _The Daily Texan_. "The conversations with individuals I have met through my journalistic career are my priceless belongings. Their voices, words, and emotions have shaped my understanding of my very existence in the world today," said Juan. Upon graduation he seeks to work with people who share his passion.

Mia Avramescu is a sophomore majoring in Sociology and Plan II, an interdisciplinary liberal arts honors program. She is interested in the field of education, particularly in extending educational opportunities to underserved communities as a means of social justice. She spends much of her time mentoring and tutoring at KIPP Austin College Prep, a public charter school which serves primarily low-income and minority students. Mia believes that giving people an outlet through which to share their stories of their personal experience is one of the greatest tools for empowering marginalized populations.
