Cameron is studying biology and psychology and plans to attend dental school next fall. He is particularly interested in understanding how culture and psychology impact patient compliance and healing outcomes. Last summer he received the Carolina Undergraduate Health Fellowship to work in a dental clinic in Ghana, West Africa, where he studied the role of Western medicine in non-Western culture. On campus Cameron serves as a tour guide, resident adviser and chief of staff of the executive branch of student government.

Eloise is studying international studies, geography and a little biology. She is most interested in the social and health consequences of environmental degradation in developing countries. While graduation may be in the future, afterward she hopes to focus on water access and sanitation, particularly various aspects of disease ecology and medical geography. At school Eloise helps run an after-school program at a Chapel Hill elementary school that focuses on environmental education and gardening.

Mary Lide is a journalism major and a Spanish minor. She has traveled to Mexico multiple times and enjoys taking pictures everywhere she goes. At UNC Mary Lide is a writer and photographer for two campus publications.
