Team Goal: $5,500

As CASA scales up and helps launch new midwifery schools, one of the needs for the student bodies at the Guanajuato and Chiapas campuses is dopplers. A doppler is a hand-held device with built-in loudspeakers that transmits clear, amplified fetal heart sounds. This enables midwives out in remote communities to assess fetal health.

Our goal is to raise $5,500, which will allow CASA to purchase 10 Huntleigh Audio Dopplex dopplers at the cost of $550 each. The Huntleigh Audio Dopplex is a traditional pocket doppler designed specifically for obstetric use.

You can give any amount that you desire and even sponsor an entire doppler purchase (simply enter “$550.00” as your donation amount). All donations to CASA are tax-deductible. See Change does not take a percentage of funds raised: 100 percent of donations go directly to CASA.

When our goal is reached, you can watch – on See Change – as midwives and midwifery students put the new dopplers to use, delivering much needed medical care for economically deprived mothers in Mexico.
