Rose, president of the HIV support group, shows us around her small store that sells PUR. She has been teaching locals about the importance of clean and safe drinking water. By Shay
We met up again with Rose at the Tumaini Group to do an interview and catch up. She spoke at length with us about her life and living HIV positive. The day before was Kenyan Independence day, so I had asked her what she had done to celebrate. She said that she had gone to a funeral, visited her sick brother, and had gone to a hospice.
Her strength is incredibly admirable. Despite everything she continues to smile, always welcoming us to ask questions, listen to stories, and tour her community. We again went to the river near her to take a couple more shots of the turbid water and watch her demonstrate to the surrounding kids the necessity of clean water and the magic of PUR.
